Major Moscow's Assaults Eliminate Power Throughout Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's power facilities have come under increased strikes in the past few days

Throughout the evening, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

A number of civilians were hurt while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to drinking water, per reports from city officials.

At the same time, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, based on information from regional authorities.

Russian forces has increased attacks on energy facilities over the last fortnight, while Ukrainian leadership has called for "real steps" from international partners to apply pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the US, the EU and the major economies - in delivering protection systems and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as winter approaches.

Government representatives said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were working to fix the damage.

A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people wounded in the assaults on the capital have been taken to hospital, as confirmed by city authorities.

Local officials said the city came under intense attacks throughout the evening. A young boy lost their life and three other people were hurt.

The strikes follow periods of aerial attacks in the territory, parts of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

The entire country is on alert for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was deliberately attempting to damage the national power system, with assaults already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were preparing for additional strikes.
